Band of Fortune

Band of Fortune is an old, found record from times long gone, sung by miners about the triumphs and hardships of mining life. Inspired by Disney's "Heigh-Ho" and old military songs in the public domain, I wanted to experiment with degrading the master to an old gramophone-era sound. The challenge is whether the musical idea translates to listeners, given the grit and missing frequencies in the sound. As the composer, you know the song by heart by the time you start mastering, making it hard to judge if others hear it the same way.
